National Eligibility Test (NET) / Equivalent Exemption
A. Candidates who have qualified the NET conducted by UGC/CSIR, or a similar accredited test like SLET/SET, or those awarded a Ph.D. degree (as per UGC regulations) are exempted from NET/SLET/SET.
4.
Ph.D. Exemption
Candidates registered for the Ph.D. program prior to July 11, 2009, will be exempted from NET/SLET/SET, provided they meet certain conditions:
Ph.D. awarded in regular mode
Thesis evaluated by at least two external examiners
Open Ph.D viva conducted
Two research papers published from Ph.D work (one in a referred journal)

Age Limit
Candidate should not be less than 21 years and not more than 42years, as on before the 15 days ofthe month next preceding the last date of submission of application to the Commission i.e. 15.07.2024. However, the age relaxation of 5 years beyond the upper age limit already prescribed is granted to the candidates of all c,ategories for these posts to be filled by direct recruitment and to be advertised in the calendar yeat 2024 as a one-time measure due to various reasons, provided the upper age limit shall not exceed 52 years for the candidates who eLre already entitled to get the benefit ofage relaxation in one or more categories
