Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) is inviting online applications for the recruitment of Assistant Directors in Forensic Services, Home Department. There are two posts available:
Assistant Director (Chemistry & Toxicology)
Assistant Director (Physics & Ballistics)
Both positions are Class-I (Gazetted) on a contract basis. Eligible candidates must apply online before April 19, 2025 (11:59 PM). Selection will be through a Screening Test, Subject Aptitude Test (SAT), and Personality Test. The pay scale is Level-21 (₹67,400 – ₹2,01,200). The application fee varies by category, with exemptions for certain candidates.

2nd Class Master’s Degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Forensic Science (Forensic Chemistry & Toxicology), or Biochemistry + 7 years of post-M.Sc. experience in research, training, or analytical work (Ph.D. work counted as experience).
Assistant Director (Physics & Ballistics)
2nd Class Master’s Degree in Physics, Mathematics, or Forensic Science (Forensic Physics & Ballistics) + 7 years of post-M.Sc. experience in research, training, or analytical work (Ph.D. work counted as experience).
