Educational Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualification: Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university or equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.
  • Final Year Students: Eligible if they can produce proof of graduation before 31/12/2024.
  • Special Eligibility for Ex-Servicemen: Matriculate ex-servicemen who have completed at least 15 years of service and obtained the Indian Army Special Certificate of Education (or equivalent) by 31/12/2024 are eligible.

Exam Pattern

Phase I: Preliminary Exam

  • Objective test (100 marks) lasting 1 hour.

  • Negative Marking: 1/4th of marks deducted for incorrect answers.

Phase II: Main Exam

Language Proficiency Test:

  • Candidates must pass a test of the specified local language after qualifying for the Main Exam (if they haven’t already studied the language in 10th/12th).

Selection Process

  1. Phase I (Preliminary Exam):
    • Objective test to shortlist candidates.
    • No minimum qualifying marks for individual sections.
  2. Phase II (Main Exam):
    • Scores from this phase are used to determine the merit list.
    • Includes 4 sections with specified timings.
  3. Language Proficiency Test (LPT):
    • Mandatory for candidates who cannot produce evidence of studying the specified local language in their 10th/12th standard.
  4. Provisional Selection:
    • Based on Main Exam performance and eligibility verification.
  5. Final Selection:
    • Subject to document verification, medical fitness, and fulfilling eligibility criteria.
